Our most common review is "We wish we stayed longer!" Have a read of what our recent guests thought of their stay at St Leonards Vineyard Cottages.

This was the best stay on our 4-week holiday to NZ. Everything was perfect. The bed, the bathroom, the kitchen was all superb. Cannot recommend this place anymore highly. Jonathan and Natashya are excellent hosts. We wandered around the garden which is just lovely. You can pick oranges and mandarins to consume as you wish, and they were delightful. Breakfast was included as well. Parking is just outside the room which are all little separate villas, so you are a long way from your neighbours.

We are currently sitting in The Stables watching the sunrise over the hills. The sheep are enjoying their feed and the deer are running amongst the orange trees. Us mere humans are enjoying the view and the hospitality of great hosts who have provided fresh eggs, bread, jam, milk, muesli and orange juice for breakfast. As many others have suggested this place is idyllic and however many nights you think you will stay here, add another, you won’t regret it. The wine tour from Marlborough Wine Tours was brilliant but other than that we can’t tear ourselves away. You will not find a more tranquil retreat.

Cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was in The Stables. Natashya and Jonathan have thought of everything you might need, and we enjoyed meeting the hens who provided the eggs for our breakfast. There was also yogurt, bread, butter, milk, and jam in the fridge. The bed was so comfy, and looking out the windows you saw vines, lemon trees, lavender, sheep, deer, and beautiful gardens. You feel like you are way out in the country, but wineries and restaurants are close by. Even though it was October, it was warm enough for a dip in the pool and hot tub. We stayed two nights, but we wish we could have stayed even longer.

Wonderful getaway in wine country with excellent hosts. Can't recommend enough. Best place we stayed in 4 weeks in New Zealand. Enjoyed the animals including sheep, chickens, llamas, and deer. Rooms include makings for a great breakfast.

Wonderful setting amongst the vineyards and beautiful gardens. We stayed in the Shearers Quarters. Very comfortable with a lovely private area outside to rest , enjoy the views and have an excellent supplied breakfast. Used the swimming pool which was great and strolled around the property checking out the deer, sheep and chickens. Location is excellent for visiting local wineries. Recommend a stay here

Wonderful place to stay. Such welcoming and friendly owners. So peaceful and quiet with gorgeous views all around. The accommodation was very comfy and cosy. Perfectly decorated for the location and setting. Stayed for 5 days and hired bikes for getting around and as a location it was perfect for visiting vineyards and easy to get into town if needed.

The pictures don’t begin to show just how perfect this place is. We stayed in The Stables, which had sheep and chickens and deer right out front, lemon trees bulging with fruit you could pick and the most gorgeous sunset over the vineyards and distant hills. The hosts were wonderful, the cottage had everything we needed to self cater, and despite the town and vineyards being just a short drive or cycle away, we felt as if we were deep in the country with just birds and animals to break the silence. A wonderful break, and we would not hesitate to book again if we return to this region.

We loved our Stay at St Leonards cottages. The moment we got there, we felt relaxed. We were given a warm welcome by Natashya. Everything was provided in the charming, rustic cottage. – Excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, good shower. It was the sort of place that you wanted to kick back and enjoy. The first evening we just stayed in – played a game of boules, had a glass of wine, cooked a steak on the barbecue. The second day we had a jacuzzi so we’re thoroughly relaxed. We thought it was the sort of place that it would be good to bring the grandchildren to. They would be very happy with all the activities there.

WOW!!!! If you are looking for a different experience to a hotel this is it. Located slightly outside Blenehim we actually ate in every night. The setting is amazing and so relaxing. We honestly didn’t want to leave. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage vineyard and garden stay in Marlborough. Everything was wonderful- the setting amid vineyards and lovely gardens, the peaceful location, our cute cottage, lawn tennis, pool and hot tub, and close to many of Marlborough’s fine vineyards. Breakfast was simple but delicious and with fresh citrus from their own trees and eggs from the chickens. Natasha and Jonathan were friendly and helpful. It was so wonderful we extended our stay. Best accommodations we’ve had in our 6 weeks of travel in New Zealand. Thank you Natasha and Jonathan!

The cottages were recommended to us and we were sooo pleased that we could stay there. The cottage we stayed in was private, quiet and comfortable. It was very well appointed with all the things we needed to help enjoy our stay. The themed approach to the decoration of the cottages is novel and very tasteful. Thankyou to our lovely helpful hosts who provided excellent advice about local attractions and vineyard wineries. Also a special thankyou for the loan of the 2 bikes and safety equipment free of charge as we really appreciated that. We learned that the sheep and Deer in the lemon tree paddock loved eating lemons which surprised us as we took great delight in feeding them. We enjoyed our stay sooo much we intend to return at the nearest opportunity.

Pause and enjoy. We stayed in 'The Cottage' stunning location overlooking neighboring vineyards. This is the perfect place to really relax; if you can, book one more day than you think you need. Hosts are kind and very helpful, good communication before during and after our stay. Quality bedding and comfy bed. Full bath as well as shower. Kitchen with hob& microwave. Eggs, yoghurt, bread, jam, juice supplied for breakfast. Plenty of good fresh coffee and selection of teas. Best place we have stayed in NZ.

Natashya, you and Jonathan have created a peaceful paradise. The gardens, animals, our Stable’s lodging are all just beautiful. Nothing has been missed. Our stay was perfect, a longer visit next time. Thank you, Judy and Bob

The Woolshed was perfect for our family of 5. Our children loved visiting and feeding the animals and collecting eggs for breakfast. The property offered plenty of space to explore and play. The location was perfect - being close to town and all of the vineyards.

Amazing cottage. Very well appointed and supplied with generous breakfast goodies. Hosts were super welcoming and eager to ensure we had all we needed. Very private romantic setting in little cottage with everything we wanted. Fabulous location super close to everything yet seemed like we were in the middle of a vineyard. Just fabulous! There is nothing I would change.

Idyllic setting for a relaxing holiday. We absolutely loved this beautiful property! We were lucky enough to stay in the Shearer’s Quarters for 2 nights (wish it could have been longer!) and it was so relaxing to wake up to birdsong and to eat our breakfast out on the terrace in the midst of the vineyards. Jonathan and Natashya were lovely hosts who are clearly passionate about this beautiful area and have created a haven of tranquility for their guests to enjoy. The individual cottages are nice and private and you really feel as though you are living on a farm - a hen was standing on our doorstep on the first morning! Thank you for making our short stay in Blenheim so perfect.

A really lovely B&B, right amongst the vineyards, so great for wine tasting tours. The gardens are beautiful, and the cottages are all charming, full of character, fastidiously clean and we'll maintained. They've got instant gas hot water, so the showers never run out of hot, and there was a roll top bath in the cottage we stayed in. Generally really well equipped (heat pump, tv with freeview, microwave, kettle, fridge freezer, dual hob, sink etc.) There are chickens, sheep, deer and a llama you can visit, and fruit trees which you can pick, when they're in season (feijoa, lemons, oranges). There's a grass tennis court and a pool, and bikes you can borrow. I'd definitely recommend, and I'll be coming again

This is a beautiful cottage! It's clean and has lots of comfort items to make you feel at home. The breakfast they provided was exceptional. Fresh produce from the property plus bread, butter, jams, yogurt, fruit, milk, orange juice & cereals. Loved visiting & patting the farm animals every day, they were so friendly. Natasha & Jonathan went over & beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

We stayed for three nights at St Leonard’s Vineyard Cottages in the Stables and wished we’d booked for longer. It is so tranquil and the surroundings are beautiful - the perfect place to relax and unwind amongst the lemon trees and assorted animals. Our hosts were charming and extremely helpful.

Wow! It is really better than I thought it would be after looking only in the Internet photos. We lived at the little house called Cottage and it was Perfect. Very rustical but still luxurious. The host was amazing and the place just had the heart that you would not find anywhere. They will get you their local products to try and the view is stunning. We also enjoyed the peace here and the jacuzzi in the evening was a really good idea after long days.

A beautiful setting, very peaceful and relaxing. It's a privilege to stay in a piece of New Zealand Heritage. The eggs for breakfast were delicious as was the apricot jam! We loved being around the animals particularly the dogs. Thanks for arranging our Wine Tour too which was the best one we have done in NZ. Jonathan and Natashya were perfect hosts and we will most definitely be back.

A lovely setting, close to so many wonderful wineries. Our accommodation was spotless and well presented, and the surrounding gardens beautiful. Highly recommend a visit.

Highly recommend St Leonard's, my husband and I spent 5 nights in total there and had a fantastic time, Jonathan and Natashya are wonderful, thoughtful hosts, they even dropped in a hamper with bubbles and treats as we were staying over New Years which was such a lovely touch, we stayed in two of the accommodation options (cottage and stables) and both were perfect, very comfortable and private with lovely breakfast, the location is great for touring the wineries and we were given lots of recommendations on which to visit as well as bikes to cycle.

Peace and quiet amongst the Vineyards We stayed three nights in The Stables and it is at the back of the property so very private. It is a delightful space with everything you need for self catering. It was great to have a BBQ and a space outside to eat and sit. We enjoyed the spa pool and think the heated pool would be a great place for family gatherings. The hosts are great and happy to provide anything extra needed.

Beautifully Themed cottage and rustic surroundings, totally relaxing, ideal getaway from city life. Fantastic location, adjoining a vineyard (few minutes from airport) Beautifully maintained premises. Sheep shearing themed cottages - old shearing tools and paintings displayed on walls which is a brilliant idea, gives you that rustic feel, Lots of trees, birds - bird songs to listen to in the mornings Sumptuous breakfast - Extremely relaxing - enjoyed every minute

We stayed in the Shearers Quarters for two nights and enjoyed everything. The cottage itself is very nice and included fresh breakfast fixings which we really enjoyed. The highlight though was feeding all the friendly sheep huge lemons. Those sheep really liked lemons.

We loved our stay here. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and unique. Whilst the woodshed was completely rebuilt on the original woolshed site, they’ve used lots of authentic touches to create a really unique accommodation. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Kids loved the animals (sheep, chooks and deer). Views from the woolshed are stunning. It is peaceful and well located only 2 minutes from a huge supermarket. Ate mandarins and walnuts fresh from the tree.
