  • "A group of ten of us descended upon St Leonard's after we had just completed the 4 day Queen Charlotte Track Walk. As we drove in we realised that our group leader Robyn had go it soooo right. Grass tennis court, walnuts dropping from the trees, warm and welcoming accommodation amongst the wineyards was picture perfect. Michelle and Marcus are lovely hosts and you will enjoy what they have created."

  • "We were greeted by both Michelle and Marcus and we knew from that moment on we would have a wonderful stay. The Dairy was cosy, the bed and pillows comfortable. The breakfast was included, eggs from the chickens at the property, with the most fantastic yolk colour, cereals, juice, butter, jams, teas, coffees and milk. The bathroom even had a make up face washer. Being able to use the laundry facilities (which had powder supplied) and the BBQ on the verandah made our stay a very relaxing one. The perfect place and hosts that made you feel at home including having a glass of wine with them outside and we loved the company of Pickles the cat (when HE found time in his busy day!!!)."

  • "FABULOUS We are in our 60's fairly well travelled but have to say this was a 10 star cottage stay especially compared to the many "corporate" "4"/"5" hotels we have stayed in so far in NZ. I wouldn't hesitate in recommended this place. The owners are wonderful and very accommodating. The breakfast, comprising of there own eggs, home made jams, etc., is provided for you to prepare yourself. Lovely gardens surrounded by the vines with a nice swimming pool and jacuzzi. Simple but perfect."

  • "We very much enjoyed our stay in a cottage at St. Leonards. It was very roomy with a separate bedroom. Our cottage was outfitted with breakfast fixings including fresh eggs from the farm. The hosts were very welcoming and invited us to watch the sheep shearing. There is a pool on the grounds as well as lawn tennis and bikes for guests to use. In the evening we enjoyed walking around in the gardens and observing the animals. It is very close to numerous wineries. Highly recommend!"

  • "Incredible stay - felt right at home Where to begin? Michelle and Marcus where super helpful to me via email leading up to my stay. When I arrived they greeted me like a long time friend. Showed me to the cottage, told me everything I needed to know. I stayed in the Cottage which was plenty of room for 1-2 people. The furnishings were very comfortable, the view of the vineyard super nice and the fresh eggs from the chickens on the property were amazing! Michelle also makes the homemade jam which was divine. Now lets talk about the property animals. The Sheep - DUDLEY!! So cute. There were several sheep that were super friendly - my 12 and 16yo nieces came over to feed them. Dudley was extra super friendly and special. Even the chickens allowed us to pick them up. Such a delight. I spent some time in the hot tub and truly enjoyed that. When I left, I did not want to leave. I was able to sit on the porch and chat with Michelle and Marcus a bit. Such lovely people. St Leonard's is conveniently located to all Marlborough has to offer. I cannot wait to return - you will enjoy your stay I am sure!!"

  • "Perfect!! A completely private cottage out in the country, right next to a vineyard, with a view to the north to distant mountains. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful - exactly what I was looking for. My cottage was spacious, comfortable, with its' own kitchen - and a verandah perfect for breakfast. And the owners are as friendly and as helpful as you could wish for. Highly recommended. I will definitely return when next in Marlborough."

  • "The St Leonard’s vineyard magic During our tour around New Zealand in October we stayed at St Leonard’s vineyard cottages in the stables. Michele and Marcus have cobined amazing hospitality with a family friendliness which provides a unique feel at St Leonard’s. The cottages provide you with everything you need to be comfortable and being surround by vineyards ensures you gain the true Marlborough experience. During our three nights we BBQ every night with local produce (including local mussels) and enjoyed great wines we have had discovered during the day and through rccomendation from Michele and Marcus. The opportunity to pick lemons and oranges off the trees in the gardens was fantastic and having herbs growing in the garden ensured the BBQ was special..."
