Take the opportunity to combine a visit to both the Wine Country and the Marlborough Sounds. Stay at St Leonards and then move on to Arapawa Homestead .  The Homestead is located on 900 acres of Arapawa Island in the outer Queen Charlotte Sound, on the site of the historic Perano Shore based Whaling Station. Boating in the Marlborough Sounds

Both motor boat and yacht charter are available through our local Marlborough Sounds charter company, Compass Charters. Alternatively, you can relax and let others do the navigation with one of the many boat trips that can be enjoyed from either Havalock or Picton. Particularly recommended is the combination of water taxi and tramping that can be organised to suit individual requirements.
