• "Most magical stay in NZ! My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we had the most incredible stay at St Leonard’s. We have been traveling for 4 months and this has been our favorite accommodation. Would highly recommend for any couple or family! Most importantly, the hosts Marcus and Michele are the kindest people we have ever met and truly make you feel like you are staying with family. Cottage: Our place was charming with the feel of an old farm cottage outfitted with clean modern conveniences (heat, AC, kitchenette, etc.) The kitchen had everything we needed and bed was extremely comfortable. Property: The cottages are nestled in vineyards so they are very private and from the property you always have views of the vines. The property also has a small farm with fruit trees that you are welcome to enjoy and adorable, friendly animals (sheep, alpacas, deer, chickens.) There are also beautiful gardens, a pool, hot tub, tennis court and more. Experience: This was the best way to experience Marlborough! We were provided with eggs from their chickens and jams from their trees (and more) for breakfast, got to wake up with sunrises over vineyards, and eat dinner with a glass of wine on the porch. Wish I could live this life every day!! Date of stay: November 2019"

  • "Perfect stay! We spent two nights at the beautiful St Leonards Vineyard Cottages and I cannot praise it enough. Our hosts, Marcus and Michele, were so friendly; it was a pleasure to stay at their gorgeous property. We were given such a warm reception and our hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable - Marcus even hung up our washing as we were out all day on an excursion! The grounds are beautiful, with stunning views of the mountains and vineyards. There are chickens, sheep and even deer. Our cottage was furnished beautifully and the attention to detail was very impressive. Our fridge was stocked with fresh bread, juice, jams and yogurt which made for a lovely breakfast and we were even invited to pick fresh oranges and lemons from trees lining the gardens. In terms of location, we were a 5 minute drive from the centre of Blenheim. Thank you so much, our stay was perfect!"

  • "Just delightful We stayed here for 2 nights after travelling the North Island and staying in large chain hotels. This little gem was just a breath of fresh air with very comfortable self catering accommodation, very clean, well appointed in a beautiful location and the most wonderful hosts in Michelle and Marcus. A perfect base for exploring Marlborough and the vineyards. They are full of local knowledge and gave advice on sights to see and the fresh eggs provided in their breakfast hamper from their small holding are the best! Highly recommend!More Date of stay: November 2019"

  • "Before you read any further, just book! We had some fantastic three days staying in St Leonards Vinyard Cottages. Our cottage was beautifully decorated, had a fully equipped kitchen for cooking (including access also to an outdoor BBQ grill), and came with a complete locally sourced breakfast. It has a perfect location right in the middle of most of the vineyards and close also to Blenheim. We borrowed bicycles and covered 16 vineyards from St Clair in the North East to Brancott Estate in the South West. 105 km on the bicycles in total and an amazing experience! Michele and Marcus is such a lovely couple, making you really feel at home at their place. Generous, caring and tremendously helpful with advises and suggestions to make your whole stay in Marlborough an unforgettable experience. To explore Marlborough to the fullest, you simply can't pick a better place to stay!"

  • "We loved our stay here. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and unique. Whilst the woodshed was completely rebuilt on the original woolshed site, they’ve used lots of authentic touches to create a really unique accommodation. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Kids loved the animals (sheep, chooks and deer). Views from the woolshed are stunning. It is peaceful and well located only 2 minutes from a huge supermarket. Ate mandarins and walnuts fresh from the tree."

  • "We stayed in 'The Cottage' with continental breakfast supplies (+ eggs) for us to use for our breakfast in the cottage. The cottage was very spacious - bedroom with large bed, bathroom with bath and shower, settees (2) + dining table and chairs + full kitchen. Own veranda with table and chairs - very sunny and warm in the evening and looked out on the Wither Hills Pinot gris grapevines! (Which had been harvested the week before we arrived!) Extensive gardens and pick your own citrus, cherries or whatever else there was in the way of fruit depending on the time of year! Complimentary use of laundry room including washing machine and drier. Only request was to peg out in good weather (rather than use the drier) + a restriction on times of use due to the quest accommodation nearby. We stayed 2 nights and cooked in both nights as the only drawback was the distance from places to eat - not walking distance even for a takeaway.First night we sat out in the warm sunshine and drank Wither Hills 2018 Pinot Gris overlooking the very vines the grapes to make it had come from! Bliss!"

  • "We stayed in the Shearers Quarters for two nights and enjoyed everything. The cottage itself is very nice and included fresh breakfast fixings which we really enjoyed. The highlight though was feeding all the friendly sheep huge lemons. Those sheep really liked lemons"

  • "A group of ten of us descended upon St Leonard's after we had just completed the 4 day Queen Charlotte Track Walk. As we drove in we realised that our group leader Robyn had go it soooo right. Grass tennis court, walnuts dropping from the trees, warm and welcoming accommodation amongst the wineyards was picture perfect. Michelle and Marcus are lovely hosts and you will enjoy what they have created."

  • "The St Leonard’s vineyard magic During our tour around New Zealand in October we stayed at St Leonard’s vineyard cottages in the stables. Michele and Marcus have cobined amazing hospitality with a family friendliness which provides a unique feel at St Leonard’s. The cottages provide you with everything you need to be comfortable and being surround by vineyards ensures you gain the true Marlborough experience. During our three nights we BBQ every night with local produce (including local mussels) and enjoyed great wines we have had discovered during the day and through rccomendation from Michele and Marcus. The opportunity to pick lemons and oranges off the trees in the gardens was fantastic and having herbs growing in the garden ensured the BBQ was special..."
