SHUP Pottery at St Leonards

SHUP Pottery

When she’s not hosting, Sharon is a potter specialising in handmade tableware and vases.

Using stoneware clay, she usings pinching, coiling and slabwork methods in her pottery. Colourwise, she loves earthy blues, greens, greys and whites, with the occasional pop of yellow and black.

She sells her pieces in the reception and at markets under the SHUP brand – Sharon Hill Unique Pottery. She is currently creating plates, bowls and cups for the cottages. Any pieces in the cottages with a price on the bottom are for sale.

Sharon has been doing pottery for around seven years and loves the tactile nature of handmade pottery. With an onsite studio and workshop space, and a kiln, she will soon be offering guests several different pottery experiences during their stay.
