Risk Disclosure Statement
St Leonards Vineyard Cottages strives to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our guests.
It is important for guests to recognise and acknowledge certain risks that are associated with staying at our property, which includes access to livestock and a swimming pool. Please carefully review the following risk disclosure statement:
Swimming pool and hot tub risks
Drowning Hazard: Guests are welcome to swim at their own risk and under proper supervision - particularly for children and non-swimmers.
Slip and Fall: Wet surfaces around the pool and hot tub can be slippery. Guests should exercise caution when walking around the pool and hot tub to avoid slip and fall accidents.
Health Risks: Although our pool and hot tub are regularly maintained and treated with chemicals to ensure water quality, there is still a risk of contracting waterborne illnesses. Guests with open wounds or infections are advised to refrain from using the pool.
Livestock and animal risks
Guests are welcome to visit our livestock (sheep, deer, hens and ducks), at their own risk and under proper supervision. Children must be supervised at all times in and around the animals.
We recommend feeding the sheep over the fence before entering their enclosure. One of the sheep has horns, which can pose a risk - particularly for children.
Guests are prohibited from entering the deer enclosure.
The property has two pet dogs and a cat - the dogs have wool rather than fur. While the animals are kept out of the cottages, guests with allergies or sensitivities are encouraged to inform us to accommodate their needs.
In-cottage dining risks
Food Allergies: We prepare a variety of dishes, some of which may contain common allergens such as nuts, dairy, gluten, etc. Guests with food allergies or sensitivities are encouraged to inform us to accommodate their dietary needs.
Foodborne Illness: While we maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards in our kitchen, there is always a risk of foodborne illnesses. Guests are welcome consume food at their own discretion and immediately report any concerns to us.
Other risks
Fire and Safety: In the event of a fire or other emergency, guests should familiarise themselves with evacuation procedures posted in cottage compendiums.

Property Damage or Loss: Guests are responsible for the care of their personal belongings and any damage caused to our property due to negligence or intentional acts.
By choosing to stay at St Leonards Vineyard Cottages, guests acknowledge and accept these risks associated with their stay, dining, and use of our facilities.
