Established in the 1880’s, St Leonards was originally a working farm, owned by the McCullum family. Twenty years ago, St Leonards Vineyard Cottages became a boutique accommodation, with Natashya & Jonathan being the current owners, living in the original homestead.
St Leonards has five boutique, self-contained character cottages, each in their own private setting amongst the 4 1/2 acres of gardens and trees. A self-catering breakfast is included in the room rates. The breakfast includes bread, jams, butter, yoghurt, muesli, free range eggs from our hens, milk & orange juice, ready for you to prepare at your leisure.
St Leonards Vineyard Cottages is approximately 3km from the Marlborough Airport and Blenheim township. It has all the advantages of a rural vineyard outlook, located in the heart of the wine district. Our property is surrounded by vineyards one of which is a Wither Hills block, growing Pinot Gris grapes.
On the property, you can feed the sheep, fallow deer, alpaca and chickens. The sheep are incredibly friendly and can often be seen on their hind legs, raiding the lemon trees.
During your stay, you can relax in our heated salt water pool, soak in the spa, try your hand at pétanque or tennis, stroll through the citrus orchards or gardens and take in the delights of the Marlborough region. Please find our recommendations list on our ‘Things to do’ page. Our region has plenty to offer and we are happy to help with any recommendations during your stay.
The Cottage & The Woolshed are perfect for a short or longer stay, with the Shearers Quarters and the Stables, best suited for a shorter visit.
At St Leonards, our private cottages can host up to thirteen guests at a time, making the property perfect for groups travelling together. Having your group stay on the same property, allows for more time spent together or you can unwind in your own cottage. Transport is made easier and it makes for a more special stay. Should you like to reserve all of our cottages, please contact us or book via our website.
